My name is Ezra Creighton. For years I've taught kids the Bible in a way that actually sticks, first at live apologetics camps, and now every day inside ReVerse. This is the story of why.
Many adults who leave the church had already decided to leave… in elementary school. That is the realization that stopped me cold as I read the book Already Gone by Ken Ham. And to make matters worse, if a kid went to Sunday school they were more likely to leave than those who hadn't. Why? As kids, they were not given answers from the Bible for real life.
That's when it hit me. Kids have real, honest questions about the Bible, and those questions almost always have simple, biblical answers. But nobody was giving them those answers. This is the mission God has called me to. Over the next couple years I worked at the Creation Museum, trained with Child Evangelism Fellowship, and learned video production as media director at a ministry in OKC.
In 2019 I started KidONE Camps, a live apologetics camp for kids. What began as a small camp of about 30 kids has grown into a ministry reaching hundreds of kids every summer. ReVerse came from watching that same spark happen at camp, and wanting to bring it home: five days a week, for every family.
My wife Victoria-Joy and I are supported as missionaries through InFaith. A mom from our church once told me, in the tidal wave of this culture, even homeschool kids are not exempt. That has stuck with us ever since.
We now have our first son, Evander. This work isn't just for other families anymore. ReVerse is something I need for my own home too. I want to answer my son's questions as he grows, not with vague generalities, but with the clarity of God's Word.
"Don't just hope it sticks. Build a home where God's Word is active, and let your kids learn to return to it when life gets loud."
My life verse has always been Ezra 7:10. Ezra set his heart to study the law of the Lord, to practice it, and to teach it. That's what I believe I've been called to do for the next generation.
We believe kids anchored in truth will not easily be pulled away. We want your kids to grow up knowing what they believe and why, ready to stand firm when the culture presses in. That's the whole heart behind ReVerse.
